The following weekend, Saturday, February 02, the 30th annual Ladies Invitational took place at our club with teams from Buckingham, Cornwall, Huntington Que. as well as 13 other teams from various local clubs. The Full Circle 8 member band had the ladies up dancing after a gruelling day on the ice. Once again the ladies were treated royally with excellent food organized by Hazel and Raja. Here is an email sent to us: What a day we had on Saturday! Your fellow organizers, rink-keepers, score-keepers, cooks, servers, bartenders, gift-wrappers, terrific band and if I miss some I apologize. Everyone and everything was absolutely awesome. My team and I would like to join together to thank you all so-so much for the curling experience and so much more. You folks really go all out to make everyone feel comfortable and the food and service was absolutely delicious and wonderful.
Congratulations to all of you for the fantastic success of another Russell Curling Club ladies invitational. You certainly set the standard high for anyone to be able to follow. And we deeply appreciate it. We met some lovely people.
Thanks again. Enjoy the rest of the curling season. Carolle
